Who we are

Slygames is the browser games service at slygames.app. The live table talks to play.slygames.app. There is no account. You pick a display name and join with a link.

What we store

To run a table we keep a guest id, the display name you type, whether you are seated or watching, and live match state on the game server. Party codes, settings, and who sat at a table are stored in our database. Chat is not offered yet. Moves are sent to the referee. We do not ask for your real name, email, or payment details to play.

Server logs may include IP addresses and technical errors for a short time so we can keep the site up.

Cookies we set

sly_guest is required. It remembers who you are on this browser so you can return to a table. It lasts about one year.

sly_region is required. It records whether your country is in the EU, UK, or EEA so we know if we must ask before analytics. It lasts about a day and is refreshed on each visit. sly_consent is required if we show the cookie banner. It stores Accept or Essential cookies only, for about one year.

If analytics loads, Google may set its own cookies. Those are not required to play. In the EU, UK, and EEA you can choose Essential cookies only and still use every game.

Google Analytics

In the EU, UK, and EEA we load Google Analytics 4 only if you accept. Elsewhere we load it to see which catalog pages are used, without a banner. Google may process that data, including in the United States. We do not send play-table addresses (party codes) to Google. We do not use marketing cookies or sell ads.

Where we showed a banner, you can change your choice with Cookies in the footer, or through Google's own opt-out tools.

Who processes data for us

The public site, the game process, and the database run on hosts we rent. Providers can change. Today that includes a Next.js host for slygames.app, a process host for play.slygames.app, Postgres, and Google for analytics.

How long we keep it

Idle tables are closed after a period of no activity. Guest ids last with the cookie, or until you clear site data. Analytics retention follows the setting in our Google Analytics property.

You can ask us to delete what we still hold that identifies you. Write to hello@slygames.app.

Your rights

If GDPR or similar law applies, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, or a copy of data we hold about you, and you may object to optional analytics. You may also complain to your local data authority (in France, the CNIL).

Children

The site is a general audience party table. We do not ask for age. Do not type personal information about a child into a display name.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
